Our Philosophy
Every South Florida caterer listed in the Internet or the yellow pages tries to make the consumer believe that their company provides an elegant service. The statement may be blatant or subtle but the message is the same, “Our South Florida parties are elegant.” The reality is that every caterer is probably telling the truth because the term Elegant is a perceived condition and in his or her judgment, the service they are performing for their client is “Elegant”.
Every South Florida catering client wants the most “Elegant” caterer they can afford for their party guests and it’s their job to determine which South Florida caterer’s perception of “elegance” most closely matches their own. As an example, a prospective bride with dreams of a formal sit down dinner for her guests would probably not want a caterer who believes that plastic plates are elegant.
At Dominion Catering, we realize that “Elegance” is a dynamic condition changing with fashion, new nutritional information and technology. As a result we have been redefining our perception of “elegance” for the Thirty five years we have been serving our South Florida community.
We believe that our catering clients entrust us with one of their most fragile possessions, their reputations. This letter will elaborate on our perception of “Elegance” and will give an indication what our goals are in keeping that trust.
We believe “Elegance” means: fresh foods and satisfying portions, artistically presented with care and imagination. The last guest in a buffet line is entitled to the same “fresh look” the first guest enjoyed.
We believe “Elegance” means: constantly studying new ways to provide better services to our South Florida customers and to find more efficient ways to use their hard earned dollars. Our studies also include ways to provide healthier products for our clients’ guests to eat and safer ways to prepare them. Nothing is elegant coming from an unsanitary kitchen; therefore, our studies also include hygiene, food pathology and toxicology.
We believe “Elegance” means: Having a staff that loves serving people. Of all our credentials, we are most proud of our staff. They truly are dedicated to a client, their guests and the event.
We believe “Elegance” means: maintaining an insurance policy and protecting our clients and their guests. All of our catering staff is covered under workers compensation we have no "independant contractors" on our team.
We believe that “Elegance” starts: With a legal and properly licensed business that adheres to all South Florida zoning and health codes. We are proud to have almost perfect State of Florida inspection reports from the different agencies that regulate our industry.
We Believe “Elegance” means: using the most modern equipment in the industry and keeping this equipment in perfect condition. All of our vehicles are kept on strick maintenance schedules. This is the reason that to date, we have a perfect “on time” record.
